Tanya Tucker - "Forever Loving You"

In the 1980s, when she was in her twenties and he was twice her age, Tanya Tucker and Glen Campbell shared one of the most talked about relationships in country music. The pair met shortly after Campbell's divorce from his third wife and the ups and downs of their relationship played out in full public view.
Following Campbell's Alzheimer's diagnosis, Tucker remained vocal about her love for him saying that her love for him is the reason she never married. In 2015, the "Delta Dawn" singer told the Chicago Tribune that she wasn't allowed to see Campbell but that his oldest daughter had arranged for the two to speak via FaceTime.
"I was talking to him, going, 'Remember me? I'm Tanya, we used to love each other.' Trying to think of anything that would trigger his memory," Tucker said. "When I was done, he kissed the phone. So I got that, at least. ... It may be all I ever get, but that was wonderful."
After Campbell's death on August 8th, Tucker's social media pages were flooded with messages of condolence from fans. Tucker didn't respond or post a message of her own until now.
Thursday morning (August 10), Tanya Tucker released a statement through her publicist that addressed her past relationship with Glen Campbell, forgiveness, and her everlasting love for him.
"I’m just devastated. Absolutely devastated. It’s been so hard these past several years knowing what he’s been going through. My heart just breaks. Glen and I shared some incredible, precious memories together for a long time. There were some ups and downs and, of course, all the downs were played out in the press. We both got past all that. Forgiveness is a wonderful thing. It’s why I’m releasing “Forever Loving You” in memory of Glen and for all of those who are losing or have lost someone they love. I’ll forever love you, Glen.”
In addition, Tucker has released a song in memory of Campbell called "Forever Loving You." The song was written by Tucker along with Michael Lynn Rogers and Rusty Crowe, a Tennessee State Senator who co-sponsored the Campbell/Falk Act. The Tennessee law protects communication rights for people who've become wards of the state and those who have conservators over their financial and living situations.

A portion of the proceeds from “Forever Loving You” will benefit Alzheimer's Foundation of America, a non-profit organization which provides programs and services for people living with Alzheimer’s disease and their caregivers, as well as funds research towards a cure for Alzheimer’s.
