Nestlé Purina has announced a voluntary recall of certain Beneful and
Pro Plan dog foods because they may not contain the appropriate level
of vitamins and minerals. 10 oz. tubs of Beneful Prepared Meals, Beneful Chopped Blends and Pro Plan Savory Meals are being recalled after internal testing by Nestlé Purina found that the wet dog foods might not contain the recommended level of added vitamins and minerals. According to the company, the recalled dog food was manufactured at the company’s St. Joseph, Mo. facility and sold in the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico. Only the following Beneful and Pro Plan varieties with listed “Best By” Dates and Production Codes are included in the recall. Consumers should locate these codes on the bottom of the tub.
