Mother Devastated as Cop Shoots Her Mentally Ill Child to Death for “Hiding in Closet”

On August 7th 2015, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Officers responded to a complaint that Abel Correa, a mentally ill 24 year old, had thrown a trailer hitch through there window. Shortly after they found Correa hiding in the closet inside his mother's house. Claiming that he "lunged at them with a sharp object," they then shot and killed him.

A few days later, the "sharp object" was changed to him being armed with a wrench and a screw driver. While you can't see his hands to determine what, if anything, Correa is holding it's pretty clear in the body cam footage that he is not lunging or even moving forward at all.
