The latest posts emerged on Wednesday, July 18, but previous fake posts falsely reported that the Consett born Mr Bean star died in a car crash in Los Angeles, and have been widely shared on Facebook and Twitter.
Previous posts in July 2017 - which claimed to be from Fox News - were fake and reportedly linked to a scam website which could give your computer a virus.
Their headline reads: “FOX BREAKING NEWS: ‘Mr. Bean (Rowan Atkinson)’ died at 62 After Crashing his Car on Attempt perfecting a Stunt..The hoax video appears to have resurfaced from July of 2017, when it first sparked fears that Atkinson had died.
