The Royal Canadian Mint is planning to release a pro-homosexual one dollar coin (a "loonie") some time this year. This is to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the legalization of homosexuality in Canada. However, just because something is declared "legal" that does not make it "moral". That does not mean we all must accept it and celebrate it. In fact, John Turner, the Minister of Justice at the time, had this to say: "This is one point which I cannot emphasize too strongly. Parliament would not, in enacting these amendments [to legalize homosexuality], be condoning this type of conduct."
