U.S.—In an online poll, Microsoft Edge has been voted the top web browser for downloading other web browsers.
Microsoft's
new web browser edged out the previous champion, Internet Explorer, for
the title. The study found that as soon as you get a new computer, the
first thing you do is download another web browser using the new and
improved Microsoft Edge.
According to the study, the most popular
searches on Microsoft Edge are "Download Google Chrome," "Download
Firefox," "Download Brave," and "please give me any other browser but
this one." Once the other browser is downloaded, Microsoft Edge is never
used again except when you accidentally click on it or your grandmother
borrows your computer.
Although Microsoft Edge uses Chromium
technology and isn't all that different from Google Chrome, people see
that blue "E" and have horrible flashbacks of trying to use Internet
Explorer back in the day. It also just "feels a little Microsofty"
according to many users.
"We're proud to have the number one
browser on the planet for downloading other web browsers," said a
Microsoft developer. "We've worked hard to improve our technology so
that you get lightning-fast speeds when you are looking for a different
browser to use."
"We're number one! We're number one!" The
developer tried to get the other developers to chant with him over
webcam, but due to lag and latency issues, they chanted several seconds
too late. |
