“A healthy man has become paralyzed just 12 days after receiving the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine. Julian Schofield got his shot in mid-July and on the 25th, he started feeling tingling and numbness in his left foot.
This progressed up his left leg and then began in his right foot and travelled up his right leg. Within two hours, he could not walk or stand. Schofield was rushed to Penticton Regional Hospital.
The neurologist in Penticton said he was concerned that Schofield had developed a myelinic form of post-vaccinal acute disseminated encephalomyelitis (ADEM) 12 days after the shot. The condition is characterized by a brief but widespread attack of inflammation in the brain and spinal cord that damages myelin, the protective covering of nerve fibers.”
