POLICE IN CANADA WARN LAWYER OVER HER SOCIAL MEDIA POSTS ON ISRAEL

FASCISTS WITH FOLDERS

UPDATE 1: Niagara Regional Police has now responded to On The Line with this statement: "We can confirm that investigators with our 5 District (Fort Erie) detective office attended a residence in relation to an Ottawa Police investigation regarding concerns of criminal harassment. As charges have not been laid at this time, we are not permitted to release further details." Stephanie Sabourin Mgr. Corporate Communications UPDATE 2: Ottawa Police Services sent this response to On The Line Media Last week, Ottawa Police Service (OPS) investigated public complaints about unwanted online communications. OPS asked the assistance of NRPS [niagarapolice.ca] to convey the concerns of targeted victims to the person of interest (POI). The role of the NRPS officers was to inform the POI of the impact of their online posts, stress that these posts were unwanted by recipients, and ask that the direct messaging stop. While the NRPS officers did not get an opportunity to explain this fully when they visited the POI; Ottawa Police detectives have since had a phone conversation with the POI about the issues at hand.No criminal charge has been laid in this matter; and the Ottawa Police investigation is deemed closed. **There were also ZERO COMPLAINTS from the Law Society of Ontario, which means the entire affair was rely about 10 lawyers banding together and getting police to strong arm her. Ms. Berry has said she is considering legal action against all parties involved. BACKGROUND Joanna Berry is a Canadian immigration and refugee lawyer in Ontario, Canada. On October 2, two Niagara Police Officers, one of them a sergeant detective, paid her a visit to her home. They told her they were there on behalf of the Ottawa Police Department because of her "personal social media." They begin to tell her that "10 lawyers who are of the Jewish faith" have filed a complaint with the police about her social media. As you can tell from the video, Joanna Berry, is outraged by the visit and clearly distraught. I reached out to the Niagara Regional Police for comment but they did not respond to my inquiry. I spoke with Joanna Berry also and she gave OTL Media permission to publish the video. She told us that she wants Canadians to see it and for the video to be a warning. "This is very Orwellian"
