Lyme Disease, also known as Lyme borreliosis, , is
an infectious disease caused by Borrelia bacteria and transmitted to
humans, horses, and dogs via the bite of infected ticks from the genus
Ixodes. (There is also evidence which suggests it can also be
transmitted by fleas and mosquitoes.) However, it may also be transmitted
via vaccination, as well
