Paterson police officer brutally assaulting hospital patient

A cellphone video entered into the court record by the U.S. Attorney’s office of Paterson police officer Ruben McAusland pulling on hospital gloves and then violently striking an attempted suicide victim in the face. McAusland was sentenced Wednesday to more than five years in federal prison for assault, and for distributing drugs he stole from a crime scene while on duty.
