Lancaster County coroner shares details, says measles didn't contribute to newborn's death

The Governor claimed there were two deaths in Lancaster County – the first deaths from Measles in the U.S. in 35 years," writes Lancaster County Commissioner Josh Parsons. "The story unravels: I then conducted an investigation and learned from the Lancaster County Coroner that there were zero reported measles deaths in Lancaster County... [even though] law requires deaths from contagious disease such as measles to be reported to the Coroner."

In headlines reminiscent of the pandemic panic, NBC reported an "Infant in Pennsylvania is one of two people reported to die of measles this week." Local officials are likening this to the politically-motivated death count inflation during the pandemic, which frequently included people who "died WITH Covid" even if other health issues were actually their cause of death.

"Lancaster County Coroner Steve Diamantoni said the cause of death was not from the measles," Commissioner Parsons reports. "The newborn died shortly after birth from a laceration of the spleen, although measles antibodies were present in postmortem testing... We still know nothing about the second reported death. There has not even been an effort, to my knowledge, to explain this death or provide any details whatsoever – beyond “unvaccinated.”"
